Total Conquest for Android is a strategy game that is similar to others in the same genre, such as Clash of Lords or the highly popular Clash of Clans. The game includes much of the gameplay elements as those other titles, but it is comparable in terms of quality and engaging fun.
Total Conquest will have players building up a town so they can train troops to attack other towns for their resources and coins. Those resources can then be used to build your base even further. There are tons of buildings in the game that can be built and upgraded using these resources, like storages for loot, defensive towers, farms, villas, and much more. Building the city is just one aspect of the game, though. The primary aspect, one could argue, is attacking, and in order to attack, you'll need to train troops.
There are a number of ways to advance through the game faster. First, you can train architects that will decrease construction time on buildings. It is also possible to recruit and train diplomats for the city hall, and they can drastically improve the outcome of battles. With so much to do, players are not likely to get bored with this game quickly.
To start off, the game is a bit slower, but that is only because the player has so much to do at first that the game paces it out by making things match up in terms of when and where they can be done. For instance, you might not have access to all available troops right away, so some will have to be unlocked as you upgrade your city. The game itself is free to play, but their are in-game purchases that can speed up the process of progress.
Like most other games of this type, there is a heavy emphasis on waiting for things to be completed, which is what prompts some players to purchase more in-game currency with real-world money to boost past those wait times. In either case, the game has more than enough content to keep players coming back for more.
Since the battling portion of the game requires an internet connection, this game is best played with WiFi for a strong connection during matchmaking. Players can also join legions, which act as groups of players cooperating for wars and other benefits.
The gameplay in Total Conquest is very intuitive, even for those who have never played this sort of strategy game. When players first enter the game world, they will be given a brief tutorial that explains how the building, upgrading, and battling systems function. Most players will want to skip over the tutorial if they have any experience with such a game.
Much like other games of this type, it is very easy to see your entire city at once by zooming in and out with the pinching gesture on the touchscreen. Players can even change the viewing angle, which is a rare feature for games like this. The graphics are completely 3D and have a cartoonish style that mimics Clash of Clans or Clash Royale, and the bright colors and simple animations are both fun and entertaining.
